Hoop House Update

To put it mildly, I love my hoop house. But, as a newbie, I have to admit, it overwhelms me. I am somewhat unsure of planting what, where, and when. How we planned to utilize every bit of space on paper made sense...but then, it's so huge in here!

Every thing is growing so well! We've eaten our first salad and I'm drooling over the kale. Jeremiah and Abigail were musing over the fact that not many people are weeding their garden yet like we are.
Cabbage moths still find their way in here and have started planning their families.
I've lost very little plant starts, saving us already hundreds of dollars. I have an enormous amount of the cabbage family. My tomatoes recuperated and have a very healthy glow. My peppers on the other hand...still learning and making notes!
I'm trying to quit hesitating and just do it!
Bryon keeps reminding me that this is a learning process and we will maybe do things a little differently next year by what we learned from this year.

  1. Love the hoop house. My husband was interested in knowing what type of plastic you used on it. We've done a mini version one year when we were expecting a late frost . We'd like to try a full-size one.

  2. I checked other posts and found your plans. My hubby says "Nice!" By the way, I found you through the Barn Hop.
