November ~ Week 2

I've been reading ''Thankful Posts" from a few fellow bloggers. We indeed have so much to be thankful for. Our everyday things are blessings.
I started out this month with my father's birthday. I do miss him, but I am more thankful that he is no longer suffering.

I jarred up the sauerkraut this week. 18 quarts. Not as much as I've done in the past but I'm thankful for that much. It turned out so well this year, I had the courage (confidence) to share. And today at dinner I had many compliments, I'm thankful for them, compliments, they do a body good.
The night Sandy came by, we went to bed with the wind howling so ferociously, I had a hard time relaxing. The photo is the wind path around the house. I am so thankful that no more trees fell. We were warm and safe, while many other were and still are not. This is the extent of our snow, much to the disappointment of the kids.
I am thankful for my huge clean school room. The wood heater is also in here, fairly roasts us alive if we pack it too full. But it is cozy and it makes us want to be in here.
My oldest and youngest.
I am thankful in particular to this jar of sourdough. It is the best I've grown so far. I am very proud of this one. I put some in the freezer to save if I loose it.
It makes really good 100% whole wheat bread.
He was playing and singing so beautifully until he got distracted with the illustrations in the book. He thought I was reading my kindle and didn't see me taking pictures. My baby is getting so big.
I forgot to take a picture of the 5 lbs that left me last week...that's ok, I remember well enough what they looked like.
